Type: Non-Exempt, Full-time and Part-time available. Starts at $22/hr based on experience.
Job Purpose: SSI/SSDI Outreach, Access, and Recovery (SOAR) is a national program designed to increase access to the disability income benefit programs administered by the Social Security Administration (SSA) for eligible adults and children who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and have a serious mental illness, medical impairment, and/or a co-occurring substance use disorder. The purpose of the position is to work with people experiencing homelessness in Central CT who have serious mental health needs or who have mental health needs with a co-occurring substance use disorder to facilitate their SSA benefit applications.

Job Purpose: The Housing Stabilization Case Manager is responsible for providing case management services to individuals, youth and families during their period of homelessness within a Drop-in Center, Emergency Shelter, and/or Transitional Living program.

Type: Exempt, full-time, salaried with benefits. starting at $22.00/hr
Job Purpose: In collaboration with a number of community stakeholders through the Central Coordinated Access Network (CCAN), Friendship Service Center (FSC) will operate a drop-in space titled Hope Connection Center to provide triage, diversion, and case management to people at risk of and experiencing literal homelessness in the five towns that make up Central Connecticut (Bristol, Berlin, New Britain, Southington, Plainville). The primary function of the Diversion Specialist is to conduct appointments to confirm literal homelessness using Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Category One criteria; find resources of support to wrap participants; facilitate swift entrance into emergency shelter services as needed; and redirecting to safe and stable options whenever possible.

Job Purpose: The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering benefits, and leaves, tracking data and pulling reports as requested, assisting with investigations, HR events, enforcing company policies and practices and supporting the Director of HR.

Type: Non-Exempt, Full-time, $24-$28/hr
Job Purpose: The primary purpose of the Bookkeeper is to review and process invoices as well as enter receipts, disbursements, payroll, and other data and process accordingly. The Bookkeeper reconciles bank, endowment, and other accounts. In addition, the Bookkeeper prepares reports to show receipts, expenditures, accounts receivable, and accounts payable, as directed.

Type: Non-Exempt; Full-Time; Essential; starts at $22/hr depending on experience
Job Purpose: The Facilities Associate assists with all phases of interior and exterior building/facilities maintenance and repairs including painting, repairing furnishings, cleaning and special projects that arise. Responsibilities also include handling tenant maintenance and security emergencies on a rotating on-call basis. The Facilities Associate position is considered an essential worker position and thus some evenings and weekends may be required, and attendance regardless of weather is expected.
