Shelter Manager - Residential Aide (Part-Time | First Shift)

Schedule: Part-time; First Shift; Some weekends/evening hours may be required.

Type: Non-Exempt, starting at $15.69/hr with shift differentials in place

Job Purpose: The Shelter Manager- Residential Aide is responsible for supporting the daily management of the shelter facility including meeting the basic needs of all clients, operational needs of the shelter, and facilitating service delivery to clients in a low-barrier emergency shelter and transitional living program. This position is classified as ESSENTIAL. Therefore, the employee must report for work when scheduled, regardless of weather or other conditions that affect travel, and remain on duty until relieved by the supervisor or person scheduled for the next shift. Workers must remain on the premises during their shift unless authorized to leave.

Outreach Specialist

Schedule: Monday- Sunday, 40 hours per week, days/hours flexible

Type: Non-exempt, full-time, hourly with benefits; starting at $22.00/hr

Job Purpose: In collaboration with the Central Coordinated Access Network (CCAN), The Friendship Service Center (FSC) will operate an outreach program to triage, divert, and case manage people experiencing literal homelessness in the five towns that make up Central Connecticut (Bristol, Berlin, New Britain, Southington, Plainville). The primary function of the Outreach Specialist is to canvass the community, receiving referrals from and collaborating with community partners and local Emergency Medical Services/Police Navigators; document literal homelessness using Housing and UrbanDevelopment(HUD)Category One criteria; facilitate swift entrance into the homeless service system to reduce the time a household is experiencing literal homelessness; and collaborating with community stakeholders to ensure efficient communication and a focus on are duction of literal homelessness in Central CT.

Rapid Re-Housing Case Manager

Type: Non-Exempt, Full-time starting at $22.00/hr, Temporary

Job Purpose: The Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) Case Manager will ensure FSC Rapid Re-Housing participants are gaining self-sufficiency within stable housing and that all services provided are meeting and exceeding agency and funder benchmarks and data quality. Referrals for RRH services for individual adults will come from the local Probation Department or street outreach program, while referrals for RRH services for families with children will from the Hope Connection Center. This position is contingent upon grant funding availability.
