Adopt-A-Family
At the Friendship Service Center, we serve homeless families and individuals in our shelter and transitional programs. We also serve individuals and families who were previously homeless in our supportive housing programs; all of them have very limited incomes.
The Adopt-A-Family program began to help families that were transitioning from shelter to their own apartments with Thanksgiving baskets and gifts for Christmas. For many years we have witnessed the smiles and joys that have filled the hearts of the families involved in our program thanks to the generosity of partners like you.
Now, it is time for this year’s miracles! Participating in the Friendship Center Adopt-A-Family program for Thanksgiving and/or Christmas is a great way to provide support to your community! The families in our Housing Programs are an ongoing part of the Friendship Center family, as are you through your donations. In 2021, Thanksgiving baskets and Christmas gifts were gifted to 90+ families. This year, we would like to provide for even more families. Please consider helping us provide the families of Greater New Britain with a brighter holiday season? Your donations give our families memories that last forever.
