Connecticut Food Bank / Foodshare Walk Against Hunger

The Connecticut Food Bank / Foodshare Walk Against Hunger is the largest anti-hunger event of its kind in Connecticut.  This year the Connecticut Food Bank and Foodshare have combined organizations and have organized the statewide event as a cooperative effort with local partners to raise funds and awareness. This year the Walk will take place in-person on Saturday, September 18 at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, home of the Hartford Yard Goats. We will also have a virtual peer-to-peer fundraising experience for those who are not comfortable attending in-person.

We are so grateful for the dedication and commitment our teams show to the Friendship Center and serving the needs of the hungry in the Greater New Britain area. It is a win-win for Connecticut Food Bank / Foodshare and our community.

Connecticut Food Bank / Foodshare Walk Against Hunger is returning, stepping off at 10:00 AM both virtually and at Dunkin’ Donuts Park — home of the Hartford Yard Goats. We are excited for our first statewide Walk as a combined organization, rallying the community to bring awareness to the issue of food insecurity in Connecticut.

Pre-registration will open in the summer and check-in will begin at 8:00 AM on Walk Day. Stay tuned to learn more. We look forward to this statewide event as we work together to knock hunger out of the park!

Date: September 18, 2021.

Time and Venue: Stepping off at 10:00 AM both virtually and at Dunkin’ Donuts Park, 1214 Main St, Hartford, CT 06103 — home of the Hartford Yard Goats.
